Hey everyone,

i designed this magnetic mesh for my nr200(p) pc case to prevent dust going into my case.

While this is intentionally created for my specific needs i decided to make it more generic and customizeable.

This can be for everyone who needs a mesh dust filter attached by magnets.
The shape of the mesh is recangular and the shape of the magnes is circular. You can customize some parameters:

  • Length (mm) - Total length of the mesh
  • Width (mm) - Total width of the mesh
  • Magnet-Diameter (mm) - Diameter of the magnets being used. Add some tolerance (e.g. 0.2mm)
  • Magnet-Height (mm) - Height of the magnets being used.
  • Additional Magnets on the length (amount)
  • Additional Magnets on the width (amount)

Measure the magnets and add some tolerance (0.1mm-0.2mm) to press fit the magnets. 0.2mm worked fine for me.

Additional magnets are placed between the cornors and can improve the mounting and align the mesh closer to the e.g. pc case.

The print profile slows down the printing speed to get a good bond between the mesh layers.

Important Note:

  • Enshure your filament is dry
  • Enshure your build plate is clean
  • Level your bed before printing
  • (When customizing) make sure to use the “0.28mm Mesh” preset.

Important Info:

  • This is my first customizable model. It's a little experiment for me.

Happy cooling
