Description

This is a simple jet engine model with a spinning rotor that you can display on your desk as a decorative piece. The project is divided into three boards, so you can choose the engine colors according to your preferences.

To assemble the engine, you will need the following items:
1. M3x25mm screw for mounting the rotor
2. M3x15mm socket screws (2 pieces) for attaching the base
3. 8x19x6mm bearing. If you don't have a bearing, you can use the pre-printed bearing found on "Plate 1," but your rotor will rotate with some resistance.

Assembly is very simple:

After printing the model, place the bearing in the body and secure it with a small bead of cyanoacrylate glue to prevent it from falling out.

Next, insert the printed axle with the M3x25mm screw into the bearing from the back (photo 6).

Then place the washer on the axle. Make sure the washer's collar is facing the bearing. This is important because inserting the washer backward will cause the rotor to rotate with resistance (photo 8).

Screw the rotor onto the axle.

Connect the two motor halves using pieces of filament as centering elements. You can use a small amount of glue to prevent the motor halves from coming apart. Use a very small amount of glue to prevent it from leaking beyond the joint line.
