Description
I bought a Knomi-Panda display for my Bambu-Lab A1 and after some time I considered that the best place to install it was next to the X-axis motor. I downloaded the official adapters, but over time it ended up falling and I didn't like how it looked.
After some time and several tests, I've designed this stand that adapts better, and I've also added several visual options for customization enthusiasts (with AMS). I've tried to make the design as resilient as possible so it fits well in most cases and stays tight. I've also included all the .STL files so you can configure the print to your liking.
I hope it helps you and gives your machine a unique touch 😉
The installation is very simple, the steps are as follows:
Insert the Knomi-Panda screen into the inner support.
Place the cover firmly until it is securely fastened. Make sure the display does not move during the process.
Remove the protective cover from the X-axis and remove the cable clamp.
Insert the cable clamp into the rail of the internal support and connect the cable to the display.
Carefully insert the assembly into the X-axis block. The easiest way is to first place the clamp with the X-axis cables and then align the internal support until it clicks into place. Do not apply excessive pressure; check that everything fits properly and try again. The most difficult part is to properly position the clamp and secure the cables.
Installing the chain adapter, the steps are as follows:
Raise the Z axis as much as possible.
Turn off the printer..
Remove the screen (if installed) and remove the cable clamp.
Place the cable clamp and the chain adapter on the cable. Place the display cable along with the rest of the cables as shown in the image.
Connect the display and insert the chain adapter using the cable clamp. This step can be a bit complicated, but with a little patience, it should go smoothly :)
Once everything is connected, all that's left to do is slide the assembly together and lock it into place. Don't apply excessive pressure. Check that everything is inserted correctly and tighten it completely.
Connect the chain to the adapter and that's it.
The adapter is compatible with the chain designed by 'Kar Fai', which you can find at the following link. For more information on assembly, check the comments at the link:
