Description

*** I've uploaded a parametric version of this so you can pick the number of pegs you want, and how many parts you want it cut into for printing ***

New parametric version - https://makerworld.com/en/models/1969784-parametric-3-4-large-gauge-knitting-loom#profileId-2117826

This is a knitting loom in a ¾ inch large gauge. This is similar to Knifty Knitter looms, but with pegs that are a bit different. The parts of the loom insert and casing are easy to glue together offset (like bricks).

The pegs that are included in the main files are very tight fitting, they won't need to be glued in. This does depend on the materials you use to print and how much they shrink. I've included a looser fitting peg in the extra files. In the main file I've included plates for printing pegs in all one color, half sets to swap out for odd/even type stuff, or a three color pattern with a starting peg, then two colors for the rest. The 3mf for the loose pegs also has this arrangement.

Materials: The loom can be printed in whatever material you like, but the pegs would be more durable if you print with PETG/ABS/ETC. I've been using PETG and the pegs hold up quite well, and they smooth with use.

The body of the loom is set for .20mm layer height, but the pegs are set to .12. This makes the peg much smoother to have yarn running over. I've also set the walls and infill to be more substantial to give strength to the pegs. I know some of you wrap those pegs tightly, and we want to make sure they hold up.
