Description
My Cute Flexi Armadillo model has become so popular. I appreciate the love. I decided to create a remix featuring cute little cowboy boots. Just when you thought he couldn't get cuter.
The no-boot version can be found here. See the difference in the photo below.
**The boots in the photos were hand painted. The print profile doesn't use AMS for the boots to save time. Very little painting needed.
Supports: Yes, tree supports. Use the print profile settings for best results. On build plate only, at 45 degrees, remove small overhangs.
Layer Height: The print profile provided has a small layer height for finer detail, but you can adjust this and print the model in half the time if you don't mind visible layers on the shell and arms.
Remove the supports from inside the armadillo before flexing.
To get the armadillo to stand, move the model's hips along the small hidden track inside the shell. One setting will allow the model to stand, and one setting will allow the model to roll up and sit.
If the hips come out of the shell (rare, but has happened with rougher play), they can be gently snapped back into place with no issues.
Examples of how this model can take various poses and hang on other objects (model with boots functions the same way):
