Description

An innovative key cover with a built-in LED light is an essential gadget for anyone who often returns home after dark. With this solution, finding the keyhole in darkness becomes effortless. The housing is designed to be as small as possible, maximizing practicality and everyday convenience.
The recommended printing material is PETG – its flexibility and durability make it ideal for everyday use, but there is also PLA profile where model is upscaled up to 102% to reduce stress. The lighting uses a standard 5mm LED and a CR2032 battery. The print takes only 30 minutes and consumes just 3g of filament! The set consists of two 3D printed parts, an LED, and a battery; assembly is quick and simple.
While sourcing the necessary components (LED and CR2032) from a BambuLab tealight is possible, it is not a recommended option – it’s not cost-effective, and the tealight LED changes its brightness to imitate fire, which is not best for this application. It’s definitely better to purchase the battery and LED separately!
This is the perfect project for both beginners and advanced 3D printing enthusiasts looking for practical everyday solutions.

Assembling:

small tweezers can be helpfull while assembling

Parts:

1 - Check LED direction

2 - Put Led in proper position

3 - Put battery inside

4 - Put key inside (it will push battery into the slot)

5 - Focus on this little ear, it should bend to let the key go through

6 - then push key th the end (like on the photos below)

7 - Put ear back on the possition

8 - Slip the button inside

Now you can enjoy your new gadget :D
