Description
Want a high detail model of the iconic WW2 Iowa-class Battleship's turret that rotates and has moving guns? This 1:172 model only takes seconds to assemble and requires no glue. There's also a version that doesn't require an AMS.
Background: The Iowa-class battleships were armed with nine 16-inch (406 mm) Mark 7 guns in three triple turrets. These guns could fire 2,700-pound armor-piercing shells at targets up to 24 miles away. The guns had a rate of fire of approximately two rounds per minute, with a 20-second reload time. Each shell was 6ft tall, so imagine a shell weighing more than some cars and the size of human being flung out of a gun barrel.
Are there other ship guns or launchers that you'd like to a model of? Let me know in the comments :-)
