Boost MeA boost is always greatly appreciated if you like what I have made here or if you get some use out of it :D

This is an easy to use tool to measure the thickness of a gap. Wether this is a gap in a door frame, the height of something elevated off a surface, or any other gap or slot you need to measure.

It is very easy to use to get a precise measurement and has printed markings with a precision of 0.2mm on the measured height/thickness. You just slide the tool into the gap and the printed scale will show you the thickness.

There are two sizes available, one with a maximum thickness of 10mm, this ones is about 75mm long. And one with a maximum thickness of 20mm which is about 150mm long.

I would recommend using the 0.08mm layer height in the print profiles to get a nice smooth bottom slope surface. You can switch to a higher layer height to improve print speed, however I have found that it doesn't add too much time to use the 0.08mm. The small one will print in under an hour, and the large one in a bit over an hour and a half.

The scale will print nicely with a standard 0.4mm nozzle, you do not need to use a 0.2mm nozzle - though I would recommend you give your build plate a good clean with dish soap first to make sure the fine detail prints nicely without coming off the build plate.
