Description

As a coffee junkie, I’m always chasing the next great brew gadget—especially ones that travel well, since hotel and office coffee is usually a letdown. I recently picked up the Oxo Rapid Brewer (clearly aimed at the AeroPress crowd) and was impressed by the results. But it has a bit of an identity crisis: compact, yes, but missing key features for true portability.
The carafe isn’t secured—it just rests on the brewer. And after brewing, the coffee basket drips on the counter and leaves the stainless filter exposed to whatever’s in your bag. Plus, there’s no built-in way to carry beans with it.

So I designed a simple upgrade:
•     A gasket to secure the carafe (printed in TPU 95A)
•     A bottom cap for the coffee basket (also TPU 95A)
•     A nested canister for beans (designed for PETG)

The canister holds ~40g of whole beans (enough for two cups), or ~45g if pre-ground. TPU 95A gives the gasket and cap enough flexibility and grip for travel, while PETG offers durability and food safety for the bean container.
To install the gasket, clean the pump section and gasket with Windex or rubbing alcohol before sliding it on—this removes oils and improves grip. It may shift slightly when removing the carafe, but it holds firm during transit.

Bonus: the whole setup nests perfectly inside a Stanley mug.

This is version 1—feedback and suggestions welcome!
