Description
Poop chute, with side mount removable bucket, and side mount filament roll mount.
R3 version has several improvements. But effectively the same.
the Big difference is opening up for the vent holes.
a few other changes:
Lengthen the bucket size. Increasing the bucket capacity.
Change the angle a little of the ramp to the side.
the .3MF file uses PETG as the interface layer with no clearance for top. If you use PLA for the interface layer. Make sure to change the interface distance also.
The STL files need to be rotated for the best build direction. The 3mf file is arranged for print.
Mounts to the side and back of a Banbu x1 carbon printer. redirects the purge waist to the side. Into a removable bin.
It has holes to mount a set of magnets that hold the removable bin in place.
There are hole to mount with the screws around the poop shoot. I have found it better to mount with double sided tape. not using the holes. the screws are self tapping. these are problematic to put new screws. Depending on your tape thickness you may want to use some packing tape to make sure the poop does not get stuck in the gap as it falls.
Two of the parts are meant to be glued together. Minimizing the support material needed. the part can be printed with minimal support.
The edge rail help the filament not get stuck. If you open the STL the default orientation is not optimal.
The design orientation is shown in the 3mf file.
There are edge rim thickening to save on material but keep strong.
The metal piece that came with the printer is intended to be mounted on the side. using the default screws and M3 nut pressed into the print. The print helps distribute the load. This extension will need support.
A filament Y that goes around the corner is:

The magnets are 6mm dia and glued in. The length of the magnet is not critical, the holes are 3mm deep, less is fine. I used it for a long time without installing the magnets. But once installed bin homes nicely.
