Lab Rax - Interchangeable Sign Holder

This is a Remix of the part “Horizontal+Edge+Vented” from the original Lab Rax to allow adding sign at the front.

Just print the small connector piece or alternatively, the 3MF file can be edited to change the pocket for the magnet to whatever size you have. Short instructions below.

 

Regular - for the Lab Rax version with heatpress inserts

Bolted - for the Lab Rax version with bolts

 

I tried both versions and they work just fine.

 

The sign was created using the Makerworld MakeMySign Tool, I made a preset here:

Optional:

If you want to edit the magnet size from 11 x 3mm, select the “Magnet” negative part, un-select uniform scale and change the size to whatever you have on hand. Remember to add a +0.1mm tolerance clearance if needed.

Next, select the moving tool, change to “World coordinates” and set the Z-value to half of that, what you have set to the magnets thickness. For example, the value for a 2mm would be 1,1mm (1mm + 0,1mm tolerance).
