Soda Can Desiccant Holder

This is a fun take on the ubiquitous desiccant holders that we all use to keep our filaments dry. 

 

Introducing the Soda Can Desiccant Holder.

 

The holders are all 50mm in diameter, and I have included 3 different sizes as follows:

 

Small = 45mm height (approx. 40g of desiccant)
Medium = 67mm height (approx. 70g of desiccant)
Large = 86mm height (approx. 90g of desiccant)

 

The examples are printed with Bambu Lab PLA Basic Red, Orange, Bambu Green, Turquoise, Gold, Silver and PETG Translucent Clear.

 

Although I originally designed the holders for dry boxes, they could still be adapted to fit into 55mm ID filament spools too, with the use of spacer pegs. Just press the pegs into the mesh sides and adjust accordingly to fit the spool. I did it this way so that they are removable and still retain the soda can design.

 

As a bonus… you can print more spacer pegs in different colors and use them to customise your soda can desiccant holders too!
