Description

This might be the greatest print you could ever download!

You know the scenario, you're in the middle of building the most epic thing you have ever built (Go you!!!). You get done drilling those pilot holes that you never skip (pppffft who would ever not drill pilot holes?), you reach for the T-25 bit driver (because you would never use the inferior #2 Phillips head) but you only touch the ground! You know you set it RIGHT THERE! It couldn't be anywhere else because you don't misplace your bit drivers ever. You look in the surrounding area (I know, you keep checking right where you left it like it was wearing Harry Potter's invisibility cloak and was just playing a joke on you) but you still don't see it. After what feels like an eternity, you take a break from looking for it to go grab a snack from the kitchen. When you open the fridge something strikes your foot (WHAT THE FRENCH, TOAST?!?! That didn't feel the best because you most definitely took your shoes off when entering your dwelling). You look down and HOLY MOLY there it is, your beloved T-25 bit.

How did that get there? Maybe you placed it there when you grabbed that lemonade earlier? Maybe it's the Tool Gremlin that likes to hide your tools?

You and I will may never know but we now have a way to keep our bit drivers right were we put them!

This “revolutionary” (let's face it, I didn't want to pay some corporation for their quick detach bit holders cuz “The Man” sucks!) bit holder will change your projects (and possibly your sanity) forever!  It's a simple, yet super functional, print. You will need a magnet to insert into the filament mid print (if you want it the be magnetic that it. I don't see it working well without it though.) and, depending on which model you choose, a shoe string (or similar string of your choice) or a eye screw.

Once completed, you will be able to switch bits out in a breeze. No more shoving them in your pocket and yelling “OUCH!” every time you kneel down to do something. No more setting one down then that darn Tool Gremlin (probably name Gerald) hiding them from you.

NOPE! None of that anymore. Now that you have this magnetic bit holder, you will because the most powerful builder in the neighborhood! Congrats, you are now a star!

--------------

Alrighty, if you didn't want to read all of that, I have designed a magnetic key-chain ¼" bit holder to help keep them right where you want them. It's a super simple and fast print while also being very useful.

BOM:

12mm (.473") x 2.71mm (.106") round magnet. Rare earth for best holding power.

Shoe string (or similar string type) for the “hole for string” model; or a #3 eye screw that is no longer than 5/8" (6mm).

You will need to pause the print at the right layer height to insert the magnet.

infill and walls are whatever you desire but i suggest at least 15% gyroid and 2 walls.
