TRON ARES Idenity Disc

Greetings Programs!

With the coming of Tron ARES we decided to create the closest replica we could given there is not a lot out there with images and video, but we think we got pretty close compared to others we have seen created so far. Tron is another one of our favorite movies and thought this would be a perfect model given that many elements in the movie glow within. This is a pretty technical model to build given the electronics that need to be modified, but the assembly video will show you clearly what needs to be done, so you can create your own ARES disc. There are extra items you will need to complete this model if you choose to add the sound and light prop kit. Listed below are the items you will not use from the sound and light prop kit as well as the extra items you will need to get. Due to very limited space in the shells is the reason why some of the items from the sound and light kit cannot be used.

This model as stated uses the sound and light prop kit from the Bambu Lab store and will require use of the ForcePark app to control it. We are working on a sound library specifically for this model and will upload as soon as it completed.

Before you start to assemble this model, please be sure that all support material is removed from the printed pieces.

Please note that due to a Makerworld system glitch I was not able to upload a print profile that included two objects on plates 3 and 9. These will need to be either printed twice or you could clone the objects to put two on the plate.

1. You will not need the battery that comes with the kit and you will need to get at least 3 AAA rechargeable batteries. The batteries need 1.2v each and have at least 1100mah.
2. You will not need the speaker from the kit as it is too big. We used a Treedix 1w 8 Ohm speaker we got from Amazon!
3. You will need to get a 3v AAA Battery case to use for the positive and negative sides of the battery box. We purchased some from Geekstory on Amazon!
4. You will also need a piece of white wire approximately 12in long and 22-24ga or you can use a piece of wire that is left from the led wiring that will be cut from the main board of the sound and light kit, but it will just not be white.
5. You will need 6 M2 x 8mm Self Tapping Screws
6. You will need 2 M3 x 8MM Machine Screws to Mount the Switch
7. You will need 2 12mm Standoffs for the Switch
8. You will also need a Soldering Iron, CA or Super Glue, and Hot Glue
9. You will also need Patience! :D This is a pretty technical build, but we feel the final product is worth it
