Description
NO GLUE or AMS REQUIRED
Protect yourself from a curse brought about by a malevolent glare with this super satisfying fidget Evil Eye or ὀφθαλμὸς βάσκανος keychain or amulet. This concept was quite popular in Greek Classical Antiquity. The eyeball freely spins in the body while the iris and pupil float within the cavity in the eyeball for more sensory fun.
The print profile is setup to print by object with all 4 colors on one plate, quick and simple.
Assembly is easy, first remove the supports from the body halves and locking ring. Ensure all support material is removed from the grooves in the body halves, a flat blade screwdriver works well for this. For the locking ring I used a utility blade to clean up anything remaining.
Eyeball assembly is pretty straightforward. Drop the iris and pupil parts into a sclera half, screw in the inner post until it stops. Drop the iris and pupil parts into the other sclera half and screw them both together.
Insert locking ring into recess into the bottom of one body halves and rotate clockwise until the tongue engages the groove.
Insert eyeball assembly into center and enclose with other body half. Rotate the body half until the keyring hole aligns. If keyring holes do not align, remove body half and rotate 180° and retry.
Now add a keyring or a lanyard of your choice and you are ready to tackle the world! For more information on the Evil Eye check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evil_eye
Happy printing!
