Description

Take professional looking photos of your 3D printed models. This tabletop photo studio light box is seamless, providing an infinite background style without corners or seams. Similar tabletop cycloramas sell for $180 at photography supply stores. Print yours for around $10 in 6 hours!

I printed this in Bambu Basic Jade White. For black or darker color backgrounds I recommend using matte filament to prevent reflections or visible printing seams. The background can be sanded and painted for a smooth custom finish of any sheen or effect. I am going to print one with matte black and sprinkle in some stars for an infinite space background! I'll upload the photos when it is complete.

All photos were taken with iPhone. For the light source, I used an adjustable desktop LED lamp with color temperature controls. This was perfect as I was able to move the light source easily to where I needed it. There are several affordable options on Amazon and elsewhere.

Note: Bedslinger-type printers may need to print a little slower to prevent vibration at the top of the print. Just monitor your model for any movement in the last hour and slow down your printer if necessary to eliminate any vibration artifacts. Since printing, I made the walls 2 layers thicker than my prototype and added a rib to each end of the background to stabilize the walls and prevent vibrations at the corners, and also for added opacity.

Boost MeThank you for enjoying this model.  Please send me a boost to help launch new fun projects!  Thank you!!
