Description
2025-11-22 Update: Now the threads have blunt start by default, which should help prevent cross-threading and overtightening. Models with blunt threads have a decorative 'lock' symbol at the bottom. If you prefer the earlier version, or want to use this model with David's original snaps, you can change 'threads_type' in the customizer.
Recommended to use with self-expanding snaps.
An open-source hook generator for openGrid snaps. The shape, width, and thickness of the hook are fully customizable.
There are already hook generators (check this and this) available for openGrid system, but I think this model addresses some specific use cases, particularly when paired with self-expanding snaps. It provides reasonable strength while being space- and filament-efficient. For example, the photo shows small hooks that can be used to hang items under a desk, which would be convenient for Underware users.
Feel free to use the code, and any suggestions or contributions are welcome. GitHub repository
