Description
This is a Japanese Bento-Box inspired organizer for the Harbor Freight "QUINN Master Bit Socket Set, 87-Piece" set (SKU 70347).
[UPDATE: A matching organizer for the short bits is now available!]
These bits great when I need them, but I don't use them every day. Unfortunately they come in a HUGE blow-molded case, which takes up most of a drawer if expanded, and as usual, if one leaves the case shut in the cabinet, they're quickly forgotten when you're working on something that needs them.
I haven't seen many organizers for this set, and those that exist are “cart queens,” – not designed to be able to move bits to your work area.
This stackable Gridfinity design allows me to take trays out without worrying about spilling tools, and more importantly, I can store what was half of a huge blow molded case in about 1/8th the space, and it's mostly visible.
I wish more people who design gridfinity based organizers would take advantage of its stacking feature.
Stacked, the whole thing is 210mm x 168mm x 80mm. Use the components you want. I included support for the complicated part of the storage problem (the long drivers, and because I had space left over, e-torx).
Boost MeIf you like this model and find it useful or inspiring, I would not turn down a boost or two for encouragement to do more. Much obliged!
