Description
This is a 120mm version of the amazing Fume Extractor by LTS Designs. They gave me permission in their comments to make a 120mm version of their 80mm extractor.
This solder fume extractor supports 120mm desktop fans. I've modified all screw-in pegs / fastener hole sizes to still be M3, however, to span the longer distances you'll need ~40mm M3 fasteners instead of the original 30mm. The base is also significantly modified in order to allow many other USB-C PD 12v boards to be used. Finally, I've added a little hole in the hood in order to pass through cables to mount a small LED strip on the inside of the hood. See photos for details.
I've also modified the cavity for the fan slightly by removing ~1mm from the inside walls. This should allow your fan to slide in much easier. Depending on the model of fan you've got the interior radii of the fan cavity might not match, but I found that it matched every 120mm fan I had on hand and so should fit most common 120mm fans.
The 3mf contains a different plate for each part, you'll want to print them all. I used Bambu Matte Black and White PLA in the photos, but any PLA or PETG should do the trick. The last plate, labeled “FEET (TPU)”, should be printed in TPU. I've also included all individual step files here as well in case you want to make any modifications for your use-case!
