Greeting Programs!
Level up your movie night with this 3D-printed popcorn container, crafted in the shape of a classic stand-up arcade cabinet. Designed to celebrate the upcoming Tron Ares, it features It features similar controls from the original arcade game and designed custom graphic panels to match. Hope you enjoy and thanks for downloading!
Assembly of this model is pretty straight forward!
- Once all pieces are printed, simply remove any support material.
- The 1up, 2up, and coin covers are press fit.
- For the puck and joystick, simply add a drop of CA or Superglue to each post on the controls board and press each one in place.
- For the graphic panels, you will need to download either the PNG or PDF file attached in the documentation section. You will then print these out onto a 8.5 x 11 sheet of white sticker vinyl, cut the shapes out, and stick them onto the model. The PDF was created in Adobe Illustrator and does have a layer for the cut contours, so if you have a plotter we recommend using this format. Also, the graphic panels are high resolution, but we only have a color laser printer which dulls the colors. If you are using a inkjet printer the colors will be much more vibrant. We do also recommend cleaning the model with IPA before applying the stickers.
The filament used on the joystick was Amolen Transparent Blue?White, but any transparent blue could work.
