My 8-year-old, who’s about to turn 9 in October, jumped into Tinkercad to sort out our loose filters issue. He whipped up a simple filter caddy that matches our sieve set perfectly. I just gave some measurements and feedback here and there, and after a few tweaks, we finally have a proper home for those loose filters.

What it is

  • Capacity: holds 11 filters (designed around ~85 mm rounded discs).
  • Front label: recessed “Filters” so its purpose is known.
  • Chamfered edges for a clean, finger-friendly feel.

Print notes

  • Material: PLA/PLA+ — Inland PLA+ optimized profile included (3MF).
  •  No supports, brim suggested.
  • Orientation: upright, text facing out.
  • Suggested: 0.2 mm layers, 3–4 walls, 12–20% infill.
  • If your discs are extra snug or loose, scale XY ±0.3–0.5%.

Also useful for

Any ~85 mm rounded objects (coasters, sanding discs, spare mesh screens, etc.).
