In the Pokemon TCG special conditions are a type of effect that hinders your Pokemon in some way. This project contains five different tokens, one for each of the official special conditions. These tokens are used to mark which conditions are affecting your Pokemon and are very important for anyone attending their local Pokemon league!
- Asleep - Represented by the moon and ZZZ. When a Pokemon is asleep it cannot attack or retreat by itself. After each players turn you can flip a coin, if heads the Pokemon wakes up and the condition is removed.
- Confused - Represented by the arrows pointing in different directions. When a confused Pokemon attacks you must flip a coin. If heads the Pokemon attacks like normal, if tails the Pokemon receives 3 damage counters instead and your turn ends.
- Burned - Represented by the flames. When a Pokemon is burned it receives two damage counters turns. After placing the counters flip a coin, if heads the Pokemon recovers from the burn.
- Paralyzed - Represented by the lightning bolt. When a Pokemon is paralyzed it is not able to attack or retreat. After the end of your turn the Pokemon is no longer paralyzed.
- Poisoned - Represented by the skull and bones. When a Pokemon is poisoned it receives one damage counter between each turn.
Printing Info
- The default profiles have ironing enabled to give the tokens a nice surface finish. Please make sure your build plate is clean and tweak your ironing settings if you're using different kinds of filament. I recommend using PLA.
- You can use any color, the ones I chose are just suggestions.
- If you don't have an AMS you can still swap the colors mid-print. In the full sized profile the color change happens on layer 27. In the slim model the color change is on layer 5.
Slim vs Full-Size
I have included two print profiles. The Full-Size model is roughly the same size as the official condition markers, making them compatible with other accessories. The slim variant is less than 3 times the height, using less filament and taking up less space. Many accessories for the condition markers only have room for 2, but should fit up to 6 of the slim tokens.
