Description
Y splitter with PTFE for smooth filament transport to the extruder without jamming. Just 1g of printing will save you a lot of time with TPU loading and won't weigh down the print head. It allows you to connect PTFE for an external TPU spool or other materials that are printed outside the buffer without having to disconnect the existing PTFE.
The PTFE is inserted into the connector and no additional hardware is required. The filament passes through the PTFE and the subsequent precisely designed narrowing, and there is no risk of jamming.
All PTFE must be inserted all the way to the stop (100 mm), see the cross-section diagram.
The splitter is carefully designed to fit into the original PTFE tube mounting and its placement does not interfere with printer operation or cause any collisions.
1. Mark the original PTFE behind the second holder.
2. Disconnect the original PTFE and pull it out up to the first holder.
3. Remove the original rubber insert from the second holder and place it in the lower part (so that it does not get lost).
4. Shorten the original PTFE at the marked point (straight).
5. Insert the PTFE from the print head into the Y splitter -10mm (if it is a little tight, use a twisting motion for maximum insertion).
6. Use the second part of the PTFE for one inlet to the Y splitter from the buffer (as before).
7. Push the new PTFE through the inlet for the TPU and connect it to the splitter.
