Instructions for Use
Follow these four simple steps to get your wire stripper ready for action:
1. Secure the Block
Screw the 3D-printed block down onto a stable surface, like a workbench or a piece of scrap wood.
- Why? This keeps the tool steady so you can use both hands to pull the wire safely.
2. Select Your Wire Size
Identify which of the 10 holes best matches the thickness of your wire (including the insulation). The wire should fit snugly but still be able to slide through.
3. Position the Blade
Take your utility blade and insert it into the slot located directly above the hole you selected in Step 2.
4. Pierce and Strip
- Insert: Feed the wire into the chosen hole until it passes under the blade.
- Engage: Push down firmly on the top of the blade so that it "stabs" through the rubber insulation until it reaches the copper core.
- Pull: While holding pressure on the blade, pull the wire through the block to slice the insulation cleanly.
💡 Pro-Tips for Better Results:
- Safety First: Always wear gloves! Pulling wire can sometimes lead to sudden slips.
- Blade Depth: You only need to cut the rubber, not the copper. Once you feel the blade hit the metal, maintain that pressure as you pull.
