Creality Space Pi See-Saw Heat Shield_version 2

 

This “See-Saw” heat shield/deflector design for the Creality SpacePi allows you to easily move the spool to position it for easier filament loading.  This design also makes it easier to remove the spool from the dryer, other designs knock the shield loose when you remove/insert the filament spool.

 

VERSION 2: Moved the hinge point from the ends to the middle.  Some spools were too wide, having the hinge point in the middle allows the spool to be as wide as the roller.

 

NOTE: I printed this in ASA and it was challenging to keep this models geometry from warping.  I successfully printed it by heating the enclosure to 40 deg C, and turning off the part fan.  It is possible positioning it in another orientation on the build plate would help with the warping.  I did not try to do this, since another orientation would require much more support.
