Description

Summary

A detailed and colorful anatomical model of the human digestive tract (large intestine, small intestine, and appendix), mounted on a practical 2x2 Gridfinity base. The model is optimized for multi-color printing with the Bambu Lab AMS and is perfectly suited as a medical exhibit for clinics, an educational tool, or a unique desk accessory for medical enthusiasts.

Description

As a general practitioner with a passion for 3D printing and medicine, I remixed this detailed model of the human intestine. It accurately displays the paths of the small and large intestines, as well as the position of the appendix.

The model sits on a 2x2 Gridfinity base, allowing it to be perfectly integrated into existing organization systems.

For the perfect print:

The model has been specifically colored for multi-color printing with an AMS (Automatic Material System) to clearly distinguish the different anatomical structures.

I have prepared two print profiles for you to ensure maximum flexibility:

  1. Separate Print (Recommended): In this profile, the intestine and the Gridfinity base are printed separately. This is the recommended method to prevent color bleeding of the filament onto the white base. After printing, the two parts simply need to be glued together (a drop of superglue is sufficient).
  2. Single-Piece Print: For those who prefer not to use glue, there is also a profile that prints the entire model in one go. Depending on the filament, this may cause slight discoloration on the base.

Important Post-Processing Note: Please be especially careful when removing the support structures. The appendix is delicate and could break off if handled too roughly. It is best to remove the supports slowly and gently.

I hope you enjoy the model and that it finds a useful place on your desk or in your practice!

Print Settings

I highly recommend using the print profiles I have provided and tested to achieve the best results.

  • Print Profile 1 (Recommended): Intestine and Base separated.
    • Supports: Yes, required only for the intestine.
    • Post-Processing: Glue the intestine onto the base.
  • Print Profile 2: All in one piece.
    • Supports: Yes, for the entire model.
    • Note: No glue required, but there is a risk of color bleeding.

This model is part of the growing "Gridfinity Anatomy" series. You can explore the complete collection here: https://makerworld.com/de/collections/10042958-gridfinity-anatomy
