Description

This is the first iteration of a modular tray divider set. Three of these will fill the tray from front to back. Right now you can have either rectangular slots or smaller square slots by removing one of the width-wise slats. I don't use a brim myself, and I sometimes experience a little lifting, but they seem to come out fine each time. I did add a brim in the print profile so others wouldn't have that issue, but you're more than welcome to remove the brim if it isn't a concern to you.

If you're using your FD commercially or aren't comfortable with PLA being near your food, Amazon sells a very cheap food safe epoxy resin that's easy to use and only a thin layer is needed to clearcoat these. It will also make them last so much longer and be more durable.

This will be updated in the very near future, so I'm going to share the details that way if you decide you'd rather wait you don't waste filament. Here is what I'll be changing:

  1. The first thing that will change will be the edges. I will be rounding off the edges to fit the inside of the tray better, and extending the slats that cross width-wise to fit from side to side better.
  2. I will be changing the overall design of the interlocking setup to allow for large squares, small squares, and rectangles. Hoping to make it more modular and universal, but this will be in a further update after the first one.
  3. The third update I have planned currently is different shapes. I'd be happy to hear what shapes people would like to see in the comments, but initially I'm hoping to do circles and hexagons.
