December 17, 2025 → Note: Please use the adapted print profile from Garage Version 3 to avoid any issues!

https://makerworld.com/de/models/1257872-diamond-painting-garage-version-3-all-sizes#profileId-2303120

If an adapted Garage version for versions 1 and 2 is desired, please let us know in the comments! For now, only Garage Version 3 has been adapted!

January 13, 2026 → Two new print profiles added: DP Tray with short lines and DP Tray with cross lines.

Diamond Painting Tray with Sliding Lid and Magnet insert

I would like to present a new version of my Diamond Painting Tray. This version does not have the classic lid that you are familiar with, but instead has an integrated sliding lid. :-)

Like my other trays, this DP Tray also has a magnetic insert and fits into my garages. The only thing that cannot be combined is that, due to its design, this DP tray does not fit into the garages at the same time as the other DP trays. Unfortunately, you will have to decide which trays you want to put in the garages.

My plugs in the familiar sizes (0.2 - 0.4 mm) are universally compatible. The 0.4 mm version is recommended again! :-)

Assembly instructions follow at the end.

Notes on the designation:

  • There are 2 variants of the DP trays. 1x Spout on the left and 1x Spout on the right. Both variants are included in the file.
  • Accordingly, the DP tray and parts are designated “N1” and “N2.” This allows you to see immediately which parts belong where.

I use the following magnets:

  • Max. 10 mm in diameter
  • Thickness max. 2 mm (also with corresponding tolerance)
  • Magnets should be neodymium and have at least a “N42” classification to provide adequate hold.

For example, I currently use these: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B06X977K8L

General printing notes:

  • File was set with wall mode “Arachne”
  • Printing parameters were adjusted by me
  • Speed was limited to ensure clean printing
  • Supports were activated and are only needed for the Spout at the front!
  • The support parameters have been adjusted accordingly, and the interface is printed with PETG. The distance has been set accordingly.
  • Important! If you are printing the supports with PLA only, you MUST adjust the support parameters yourself!
  • The plugs have been given a variable layer height to achieve a nice curve. They also have a 5 mm border. In my experience, this border is only necessary for bed pushers. With Core XY, you theoretically don't need a border!
  • A PAUSE was added to layer 208 for the trays, allowing you to insert the magnets in the middle of printing. If you don't want to do this, simply remove it!
  • Attention! Print plates 2 and 4 are the additional parts for the DP tray. These parts are printed using the “Print order by object” mode! In the Object tab, the objects are arranged in the following order for printing: 1. Sliding lid (color: white) 2. Lines tablet, first 0.8 mm height (color: white) 3. Lines tablet, upper 0.8 mm (color: pink) 4. Finally, the plug
  • This is intended so that you only have to change the color once without Prime Tower.

Finally, here are some illustrated instructions for assembly:

  1. Check that you have printed all the parts and have them in front of you.

  2. First, take the line plate and push it up to the wall. There is a bevel with a slot at the spout. Push it in there.

  3. Now place the tray upright and insert the sliding cover into the designated slot.

  4. Once you have done this, put the side plate on. Please make sure that the slot opens into the sliding cover. The DP tray is now ready.

  5. Finally, insert the plug and you have a new Diamond Painting Tray. :-)

I hope you enjoy it.

If you like my work, I would be very happy to receive boosts, downloads, and comments. :-)
