But all jokes aside, this model has a much more noble and practical purpose. For those not in the know, the Bristol Stool Scale is a real medical diagnostic tool designed to classify the form of human feces into seven distinct categories.

Here's what each type represents:

• Type 1: Separate hard lumps, like nuts (hard to pass)
• Type 2: Sausage-shaped, but lumpy
• Type 3: Like a sausage but with cracks on the surface
• Type 4: Like a sausage or snake, smooth and soft (this is the ideal!)
• Type 5: Soft blobs with clear-cut edges (passed easily)
• Type 6: Fluffy pieces with ragged edges, a mushy stool
• Type 7: Watery, no solid pieces (entirely liquid)

This visual guide makes it a surprisingly useful, non-verbal aid to help people communicate about a topic that can often be a bit... awkward.

Printing Recommendations

This is a straightforward print. For the best, most... authentic... look, a two-color print is highly recommended. The included 3MF file for Bambu Studio is pre-painted for your convenience.

• Supports: None needed.
• Layer Height: 0.2 mm is perfectly fine.
• Infill: 15% is more than enough.

Color Suggestions:

• The Base: A clean, clinical white is recommended for the base. This provides excellent contrast and makes the... uh... specimens... really stand out.
• The Samples (Types 1-7): For obvious reasons, a classic brown filament is the top choice. It gives the model that realistic touch it deserves. (I strongly recommend sticking to shades of brown; other colors like red or purple might be visually disturbing and send the wrong message!)

How to Print in Two Colors:

• Using an AMS/MMU: Simply assign the base model to your white filament and the seven stool samples and numbers to your brown filament. It's as easy as that.
• Without an AMS/MMU: You can use the "Pause at Height" or "Add Color Change" feature in your slicer. Set the color change to occur on the first layer where the samples begin to print. This will create a brown border to your base which might look very nice as well.
