Rubbermaid FastTrack Shelf Edge Covers

The Rubbermaid FastTrack shelving system is sturdy and versatile, but the exposed wire shelf ends and metal bracket edges can be pretty sharp. After bumping into them a few times, I designed these simple snap-on protective covers to prevent injuries and make the system safer to use.

 

These covers are 3D printed in flexible PLA using modified TPU settings in Creality Print. The flexibility lets them snap securely into place while still being soft enough to cushion any accidental contact.

 

Compatible with: Rubbermaid FastTrack shelf brackets and wire shelves
Print settings: Flexible PLA (TPU-style settings)
Supports: Only required for the shelf bracket cap (wire shelf ends print fine without supports)
Easy install & removal – they clip on firmly but can be taken off if needed

 

These are especially useful in garages, basements, or storage areas where kids and pets might be around, or anywhere you want a safer finish to your shelving.

 

If you use a different flexible filament, you may need to adjust extrusion temps and speeds for the best fit.
