The Calavera Purge Box is a Día de los Muertos–inspired decorative piece designed to transform 3D printing waste into art. Measuring 15 cm tall, 12 cm wide, and 2.5 cm deep, this skull-shaped design is meant to hold and showcase filament purge blobs, turning what is usually discarded into something meaningful.

More than just a container, the Calavera Purge Box celebrates the idea of giving new life to leftovers. Each purge blob becomes a “flower” or “jewel” embellishing the skull, resulting in a piece that is always unique, vibrant, and full of symbolism.

Minimalistic yet expressive, it pays homage to the Mexican calavera tradition while blending sustainability, creativity, and culture into a single project. With this design, waste is no longer just waste—it becomes an exclusive decorative artifact.

 

Transparency Tips

• Increase the temperature and disable cooling.
  This allows the material to fuse more evenly between layers, resulting in the highest possible level of transparency.
• Use PETG for a better translucent effect.
  Its chemical composition makes it ideal for achieving clearer, glass-like results. When combined with the previous tip, the effect becomes even more consistent and vivid.
