Description

Hello, I'd like to introduce you to my latest creation, RotaDose.

RotaDose is a self-locking, daily pill dispenser for one or two weeks. It's available in two sizes, depending on how many pills you need to take.

Thanks to its design, nothing can fall out once RotaDose is rotated to the "lock" position. And when all the compartments are empty, the top plate can be easily removed for refilling.

On the back, there's a small opening for attaching a wrist strap, if desired.

It's designed for printing without supports, and assembly requires no glue or other non-printed components.

The following components are required for a RotaDose:

  • Base (small or large,  fuzzy or normal)
  • Wheel (small or large)
  • Spring
  • Disk (1 week or 2 week in english, german, french and spanish)
  • Key ( Day, Night, Pill or normal)

I recommend printing the spring in PETG, as this will prevent it from wearing out too quickly.

For assembly, please follow these steps (also shown in attached GIF):

  1. Place the wheel in the base.
  2. Place the spring inside the wheel, in the single flat slot.
  3. Position the wheel with the spring so that the back of the spring faces the opening in the base.
  4. Place the disc on top of the wheel, ensuring that the "unlocked" symbol on the disc is aligned with the spring.
The key should now only fit through the disc and wheel in one way.
  5. Once the key is inserted, rotate it clockwise until the "locked" symbol is aligned with the opening in the base.

Both sizes are currently being used in my family, and they have already been revised based on feedback. However, if you have any suggestions for improvements or changes, please feel free to let me know.
