I'd like to present my project for a lamp, created using the Bambu Lab Lamp Kit 001. I received this kit with an order and decided to put it to good use. I needed a lamp to provide better light for my workbench, as the LED strip I had was more for decoration than actual illumination.
This lamp should also work perfectly as a bedside reading light. I got a bit carried away with the design – I was really bothered by the excess cable length, so I designed the model to allow for a more aesthetic way to wrap and shorten the cable around the lamp's arm.
You will need:
a) To print:
- 1x Lampshade.stl
- 2-3x Swivel joint.stl
- 1x Knob bolt.stl
- 1x Clamp.stl (choose the size S, M, or L for your table)
b) Other parts:
- 3 or 4 M5x25mm Pan Head Screws with matching nuts
- 2 M3x10mm Screws with washers and nuts
- Bambu Lab Lamp Kit 001
Assembly Instructions:
- Measure the thickness of your desk or bedside table.
- Print the model. If you are using the provided 3MF profile instead of the STL files, make sure to leave only the clamp size that fits your table's thickness.
- Small: 12-20mm
- Medium: 21-30mm
- Large: 31-38mm
- The lampshade can be safely printed with a 0.8mm nozzle. For the rest of the models, use a standard 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.2mm layer height as a minimum.
- After printing, unscrew the socket's outer cap and press the socket assembly into the lampshade, aligning the holes on the socket with the holes on the shade.
- Insert the two M3x10mm screws. On the other side, add the washers and tighten the nuts by hand. You don't need any tools for this.
- Screw the outer cap back onto the socket. If you have trouble gripping it, try using a rubber band or tape for better grip.
- Screw the 2-3 swivel joints together.
- Attach the clamp to the last swivel joint.
- Using the knob bolt, tighten the clamp onto your desk or bedside table.
