Rugged Deck Box | TCG, Magic, Pokemon

I wanted to make something reminescent of my “Kamigawa” deck box, but more on the style of a rugged box, so I came up with this design. In this model, magnets are used for closure, but instead of being on the inside of the box, they are on the outside. The colorful X is a magnetic match that holds both halves together.

Cards

This deck box fits 60, 80 or 100 single-sleeved standard 88 mm x 63 mm cards. This is the default format for Magic: the Gathering and Pokemon cards.

Printing instructions

Print plate 1 and plate 2. I found that the X can be hard to detach from the deck box because magnets are very strong. If you find yourself having difficulties, please the “grippy” variant of the X, provided in plate 3.

• Suggested build plate. A textured carbon-fiber 3D build plate gives top and bottom a very snazzy finish
• Suggested layer height. 0.16mm as provided

Assembly instructions

You will need eight 6x2 magnets, to install in the provided hollows. Install them using a drop of clear super glue. Use a few drops of super glue to permanently affix the accent colour top and bottom to the base and lid, as shown in the pictures.
