IKEA SKADIS Wall mount Knob

Mounting system for IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard.

Since IKEA only supplies white mounting knobs, which aren't particularly attractive,
I designed a mounting system that can be printed in any color.

The system consists of a mounting knob, a cap, a spacer, and a tool. Screws and nuts are also required.

To mount a SKÅDIS panel, you will need four M4x20 hex screws and two M4 nuts.
 

Instructions:

1. First, insert the screw into the mounting knob and press the nuts into the spacer. 
2. Then, screw the mounting knob through the pegboard to the spacer or SKÅDIS wall bracket. The printed tool can be used for this. 
3. Then, place the cap over the mounting knob and press it on. It should snap in place. The cap has a little indent to help removing it if needed. Position the cap so that the indent faces down, so it is not visible.

To press the nuts into the spacers, it can be helpful to thread the nuts onto a screw and then press them in.
