Refill Reusable spool for Bambulab filament

When I started designing my refill spool for Bambu Lab filament, I went with a honeycomb-inspired structure — and honestly, it turned out to be the perfect choice. The honeycomb pattern hits that sweet spot between strength and low weight, saves a bunch of material, and still gives the whole spool a clean, technical vibe. Plus, the open structure keeps everything nicely ventilated (in dryer => be carefool with temperature), which helps the filament stay in good condition even after long-term storage.

On the front side, I added removable snap-in badges that fit right into the hex openings. You can use them to label your filament types (PLA, PETG, ASA, etc.) or simply as color markers to tell your spools apart at a glance. It’s a super easy way to personalize and organize your setup—no stickers, no permanent mess.

Inside the spool, there are two locking mechanisms that keep it from popping open by accident, whether you're handling it manually or running it inside the AMS Lite. I made two sizes: a smaller 180 mm version built for the Bambu Lab A1 Mini (weighing 145 g) and a bigger 200 mm version for the rest of the printers (weighing 155 g). Both versions work perfectly with AMS Lite and are designed to keep the whole refill experience smooth while staying as convenient as the original spools.
