Description
I designed these connectors to work with 21.5mm outer diameter pipe, and they have a nice snug interference fit so you can just slide the pipes in without needing glue or screws. I’ve been using them to build Whoop racing gates and make different RaceGOW tracks each week — it’s super handy for setting up new layouts quickly.
They’re not just for drone racing though — they’re great for kids to build forts or fun structures, or really for any kind of lightweight frame you can think of.
Depending on your printer and filament, you might need to scale the model by ±1% to get the perfect fit. I recommend printing the small test plate first to check the interference before committing to a full set.
I used PLA and have been fine for a couple weeks outside but feel free to use PETG for better UV. I would definitely recommend using supports, easy enough to remove but help keep the holes circular which for this application is vital.
This is my first model I have uploaded to MakerWorld so please leave comments on what improvements I could/should make..
