⚠️ Important note about the spring mechanism
Some users have reported issues with the spring used in this model. Even when printed in PETG, the spring can develop a memory effect if the tower is stored closed for a long period of time, which may cause the drawbridge to no longer open properly.
To address this, I have designed a new spring-free version using a simple hinge system. It works just as well and is also available in a bi-color version for added realism:

I sincerely apologize to anyone who encountered this issue 🙏
That said, I am keeping this model available, as it does not affect everyone. I personally have a test print that has been stored closed for over 2 months and still works perfectly.
The Drawbridge Dice Tower 🏰🎲
This compact dice tower was designed to look like a medieval keep — complete with a drawbridge gate that opens automatically!
🧠 Behind the design:
After creating my first dice tower (right here!), I wanted to make a foldable, and still pocket-friendly version. It took many sketches, prototypes, and iterations to get the mechanism just right — and now it’s finally here! The spring action is incredibly satisfying, and this little tower is perfect for board game nights on the go.
💡 Features:
Spring-loaded mechanism: the gate opens with two side buttons and closes automatically thanks to printed springs.
Insert the two springs on each side of the tower.
Place the tower vertically into the base so the square holes align.
Insert the two small square pegs into place.
That’s it — close it and press the buttons to open!
Happy printing!
