Gate battery box for B LA12V 12A batteries (x2)

This is a battery box that will accommodate two B LA12v 12amp batteries side by side. The batteries I used measured roughly 198mm x 153mm x 102mm. 

 

I also included a hole for a cable gland with threads that measure roughly 11.9mm in diameter, and another hole to add a battery voltage display. Both of these are included in the bill of materials.

 

I created this box to be able to accommodate the batteries so I could mount them to my fence with the brackets. The brackets also include spacers to aid in installation. I am using this in a 24v configuration to power a gate control board and motors. You should also use fuses to ensure that you do not create a fire hazard. 

 

I have also included a Fusion360 file so you can modify it to fit your needs.

 

My suggestion is to print this from PETG if you will be using it outdoors like I am.
