Description

Print • Play • Pass it on — Small model, Big impact.

Our studio designed “4 A Cross”, a compact, portable twist on the classic Connect-4 game — created specifically so you can optimally print and share as a gift for children in need via charities such as Operation Christmas Child (samaritanspurse.org).

Each Christmas season, thousands of small shoeboxes filled with toys and essentials are sent to children around the world. We wanted to give the maker community something fun, full of replay value, and print-friendly to include — and “4 A Cross” was born!

We designed 4 A Cross at 120 mm × 80 mm with 12 mm playing pieces — just a little larger than most pocket-sized versions you’ll find on MakerWorld. That extra size we found makes it easier for small hands to handle, while still staying compact for travel or shoebox packing.

Features

  • Portable & Packable: Folds down small to fit inside shoeboxes or pockets.
  • Snap Hook Ready: Includes a built-in loop for attaching a carabiner, belt clip, or backpack hook (the ones we used at Amazon)
  • Quick Print: Just 2 hrs 35 min and ~50 g filament — perfect for batch printing.
  • Replay Fun: Great for travel, school, or anywhere — classic gameplay, minimal space.
  • Easy to Print & Assemble: No supports required, prints beautifully with PETG.

(PETG was chosen for durability and heat resistance in warmer climates)

We made this model for makers everywhere to use their printers to bless kids worldwide. Imagine a child across the globe lighting up when they get a handmade game from you.

Whether you’re printing a few as gifts for your own family and friends, or donating through Operation Christmas Child or another outreach, this model was built to print easily, pack neatly, and share maximum joy per gram of filament

Print Info

  • Print Time: 2h 35m
  • Filament: 50 g PETG (any color combo!)
  • Supports: None
  • Assembly: Snap fit + keyring clip
  • Recommended Scale: 100%

(Easily take care of any stringing by running a wire brush along the insides of the grid halves to clean it up and aid in playing chip movement)

Documentation - Play Instructions

  • Printable 4" × 3" (100 x 75 mm) double-sided instruction card included.
  • Front = setup steps, Back = play and win guide.
  • Uses pictures as much as possible for universal understanding.

Together, we can turn a few grams of PETG into a world of smiles.
