Description

This model offers a practical and immediate solution for improving standard metric Allen keys. The design converts small, difficult-to-grip 

hexagonal wrenches into a set of ergonomic tools, significantly boosting comfort and usability. The core feature is the Print in Place (PiP) mechanism, which simplifies the manufacturing process.

 

This accessory is engineered for use with standard metric hex key sizes (please verify your key dimensions before printing). The self-locking mechanism is integrated into the printed part, eliminating the need for glue, hardware, or complex assembly steps.

 

✅ Design Features:

  • Print in Place (PiP): Optimized geometry allows for printing without the need for support structures.
  • Ergonomic Profile: Contoured shape provides superior grip and increased leverage, reducing fatigue during tool use.
  • Metric Compatibility: Designed to fit common metric sizes (e.g., Compatible with 1.5 mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, 5mm, 5.5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9mm and 10mm hex keys).
  • Secure Retention: Features an internal mechanism that ensures the key is held firmly, maintaining stability even under high torque applications.

     

⚠️ NOTE FOR USERS WITH ROUND KEYS:

 

This specific model is designed for standard hexagonal keys. If you have the newer round-bodied Allen keys (like the ones included with some recent printers), please use my updated design instead.
