Description
Hello! This is my second version — a completely redesigned and improved set of drawers.
It’s enhanced in every way: simpler construction, larger size, and smoother operation. The increased dimensions allow you to store bigger items, while small magnets keep the drawers securely closed. Real ball bearings are used for the drawer runners, giving a much smoother and more satisfying feel when opening and closing.
Drawer Assembly Instructions:
To assemble one drawer, you will need the following:
Print Layout:
The drawer design is divided into three build plates:
Secure the ball bearing holders with glue on both sides of the drawer, and once set, insert two ball bearings into each holder.
Insert two ball bearings into each drawer runner — one on the left side and one on the right. Make sure they are seated properly in their holders for smooth and stable drawer movement
Glue the handle onto the front drawer plate, then attach the assembled front plate to the drawer body. Before applying any glue, test-fit the parts to ensure proper alignment — all pieces should sit flush with each other for a clean, precise finish.
I’ve added four small magnet placement holes designed to keep the drawer securely closed and prevent it from opening unintentionally.
Using the magnets is optional, but if you decide to install them, please pay close attention to the magnet polarity. Make sure they are aligned correctly before gluing — magnets placed randomly may repel each other instead of holding the drawer shut.
Dimensions:
I’ve included links to all the necessary parts that can be purchased directly from the store.
Please note that due to variations in filament shrinkage, printer tolerances, and manufacturing differences in external components, the fit of the parts may vary slightly for each user.
If you encounter any fitting issues or require adjustments to the design, feel free to contact me — I’ll be happy to help. Thank you!
