Description
This Live Edge Floating Shelf brings together the warmth of nature and the precision of 3D printing. Designed to look like a real wood slice, it features a realistic live edge texture and integrated lighting that adds a soft, ambient glow to your wall.
The model includes an interior detail insert that can either be laser cut or 3D printed, giving you flexibility depending on your setup. The version shown in the photos uses a laser-cut piece of basswood with engraved log rings, creating an authentic wood-grain effect that pairs beautifully with the modern shape of the shelf.
The shelf is printed in multiple parts, allowing for clean prints without supports and no need for an AMS unit. Once printed, it assembles easily and mounts to the wall using a French cleat system, which can be installed with screws or command strips for a secure, floating appearance.
A small LED puck fits neatly beneath the shelf, casting a warm light that highlights plants, décor, or collectibles. This combination of design and functionality makes it perfect for bedrooms, offices, or living spaces.
