🖤 Whispers of the Hood – No. 2: The Gatekeeper

Where the whispers begin… someone stands watch.

This is The Gatekeeper, second figure in the Whispers of the Hood series. Clad in a sculpted robe that ripples like silent breath, she stands upright, unwavering. Her face is hidden deep beneath the hood, but the message is clear: You may not pass without being seen.

In one hand, she holds a scythe-shaped blade. It rests calmly by her side, not raised, not threatening… only present. A symbol, not of violence, but of order. She is not the one who invites, but the one who guards the veil.

Print with or without the scythe, the pose is complete either way.

Print profile included

• 2 walls
• 0.16 mm layer height
• 5% infill
• Arachne wall generator → for minimal supports
• Scythe is a separate piece for optional attachment

Plates

  1. The Gatekeeper 150mm
  2. Blade
  3. Handle

When removing supports, handle with care. Avoid pulling off entire tree branches at once, as this may damage delicate parts like the hands. Instead, gradually cut the branches into smaller sections with a sharp tool, then gently loosen the pieces with your fingertips. The supports will release almost effortlessly.

After printing, I noticed some oozing, so I enabled “Reduce infill retraction” to help minimize it.  Also, the scythe handle was a bit too long to print vertically as it wobbled during printing. I trimmed about one-third off the end to improve stability. Let me know how your print turns out, and I’ll be happy to make any needed adjustments. Thank you!
