Description
This is a unique side-mounted skateboard attachment for baby prams — designed for Maked Classic baby pram, but the included STEP file allows you to adapt it to other models.
Thank you all for the amazing feedback and valuable suggestions on this project!
Some users raised a valid concern about the child's foot getting close to the stroller's wheel spokes. Based on that community feedback, I have designed and added a new optional Spoke Cover / Foot Guard to the print files, and also as a STEP file.
This new part is a simple print that attaches easily with 3 zip-ties and acts as a barrier to keep little feet safely away from the wheel.
🛹 Why I made this project:
All the skateboard attachments I found were designed to run behind the pram. That made it tricky to push and easy to kick into — not ideal. So I made a side-hovering skateboard platform, letting my bigger child ride next to the pram instead of behind it. It’s more fun, more social (kids can interact while riding), and still safe as long as you pay attention to where the foot goes.
🔩 Quick-release setup:
Attaches and detaches in just a few seconds — no tools, no fuss. Great when you need to fold the pram or pack it into the car.
pop it on when your little co-pilot wants to ride. It can be installed to both sides.
👶 How it works:
The child rides sideways, like on a real skateboard, but can hold the pram for balance. It also doubles as a seat when needed.
Surprisingly strong — it can hold up to 100 kg (the attachment will withstand it. But I recommend to use it for toddlers up to 25 kg) and works perfectly when printed from PETG (cheap ones are fine).
🛠️ What you need:
🧩 Printing notes:
Requires some post-processing / cleanup — I used sacrificial layers in the screw holes and one other area for easier printing.
Two plates (3 and 6) of the included print profile has a “Pause print” added, then you have to place the “Fixing elements" to the ”Adapter_for_the_pram_outer_2x" part (See the picture below):
⚙️ Compatibility:
Designed specifically for the Maked Classic baby pram, but others can modify the included STEP file to fit their setup.
