Duplo wood train (wagon) base

Design Concept

The Duplo wood train wagon base is designed to fit seamlessly with wooden train sets, offering a sturdy and customizable base for additional train building pieces. It integrates the classic Duplo stud design to allow children to create and expand their train sets smoothly.

Purpose

This model serves as a base foundation for building diverse train wagons in combination with other building blocks like Duplo elements, enhancing children's imaginative play and interaction with train sets.

Printing Suggestions

For optimal performance, use a durable filament like PLA or PETG with high infill settings (around 25%-30%) to withstand playtime activities. Ensure the nozzle temperature suits the filament choice to avoid layer disconnections.

Assembly Instructions

1. Thread the wheels through the short and long axes and weld the axles together. Two axes have larger wheels, one axe has smaller wheels. Ensure wheels rotate freely.

 

 

2. Glue a cylindrical magnet with a diameter of 10 mm and a height of 5 mm into the coupler (a hollow cylinder with a ball at the end).

 

3. Insert the assembled axes (with wheels) and coupler into the upper pin section and snap the bottom section onto the assembly. It should hold firmly. Check connections with train track and Duplo bricks for a firm fit.
