Hornbill

This project features a beautifully detailed Great Hornbill, a magnificent bird known for its striking casque and vivid colour patterns. The model was carefully designed for FDM printing and showcases realistic feather textures and elegant posture.

The first image shows the raw print with supports, directly off the printer. The second image captures the hand-painted version, bringing the hornbill’s natural beauty to life with yellow, black, and white acrylics. The final photo displays the clean print after support removal, highlighting the fine details achieved with PLA.
