.22 Ammo Storage Box

This box was designed to store the Ammo Storage Box 22LR 100 Rounds and Ammo Storage Box 22LR 50 Rounds models created by @Coconut.

It can hold six 100-round boxes or twelve 50-round boxes, making it ideal for neatly organizing .22LR ammunition at home.

I originally made this box to have a more practical way to store my ammo at home. When heading to the range, I usually just grab a few of Coconut’s 50-round or 100-round boxes — but for larger quantities, I wanted something sturdy and stack-able. This design solves that problem perfectly.

The internal dimensions (including the lid) are 180 mm (L) × 105 mm (W) × 105 mm (T), providing a snug fit for the compatible ammo boxes.

Multiple boxes can be stacked using the included small L-shaped inserts.
If you choose to use them, they should be super-glued either to the top of the lid or the bottom of the box — whichever you prefer. In my photos, I glued them to the lid mainly for aesthetic reasons.

Print Settings

• Material: PLA (I used PLA, but PETG also works great)
• Layer Height: 0.20 mm
• Nozzle: 0.4 mm
• Walls: 2 And 7 (for strength) on plate 3 with the exception of the inserts
• Supports: Not required
• Brim: On the Latch Pins and Hinged Pins.

The Latch Pins should be a tight fit to the box and lid.

The text on the lid can be edited directly in Bambu Studio if you’d like to customize it with your own label or name.

Update – New Version With Carry Handle

I’ve recently released a new version of this box that includes a fold-down carry handle.
For those who have already printed this original model and would like to upgrade, you can simply print the new Handle and HandlePin parts and install them replacing the existing LatchPin.
If you really need the snap-in locking feature, you can also just print the new box and continue using your current lid.
