Description
Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO)
- A clear, odorless, and colorless liquid commonly found in both industrial and residential environments. Although often overlooked, it is capable of causing severe corrosion in metals and contributes to the greenhouse effect when present as vapor. Prolonged exposure in its solid form can cause tissue damage, while its gaseous form may lead to suffocation in poorly ventilated areas. Despite these hazards, DHMO remains in widespread use as a solvent, coolant, and fire suppressant. Extreme caution is advised when handling this substance.
