Two versions of this base are available: a single-piece model for standard printers with 256 x 256 x 256mm build volume and a split two-piece version for the Bambu Lab A1 Mini’s 180 × 180 x 180mm build volume. Both versions are designed to enhance the stability and usability of the Work Sharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener, preventing unwanted tipping or movement during sharpening.

This version builds on my earlier design (linked below), with a refined layout, tighter tolerances, and updated features in a sleeker, more compact form.

New Features

• Integrated Cradle for Tool Management — Holds the Tri-Brasive handle and sharpening rod when pausing or relocating the sharpener. (Not intended for blade rotations due to clearance limits). The Work Sharp Precision Adjust - Rod Holder Accessory is the ideal solution for this, I highly recommend this accessory.
• Tapered Thread Ends — Simplifies bolt installation and reduces the risk of cross-threading. Adjusted tolerances make assembly smoother.
• Improved Slider Chamfer — Allows for easier reinsertion of the slider under the blade clamp.

Additional Features

• Sliding V-Clamp Support — Reinforces the v-clamp block to reduce flex and maintain consistent sharpening angles. Slides conveniently out of the way for 180° blade rotations.
• Secure Base Mounting — The sharpener base slides into a channel and locks in place using four threaded bolts for solid stability.
• Integrated Storage Tray — Provides quick access to small tools or accessories.
• Compact Print Options — Prints flat as a single piece on large printers, or upright as a two-part version for smaller printers.
• Full Sharpener Compatibility — Maintains all stock functions, including clamp movement and angle adjustments.
